Some tips about use of the model when calculating advertising costs.
- For bigger revenue goals like $50,000 pick a goal of $5,000 and then just multiply the amount you need to spend by 10.
- The model assumes you are advertising a promotional coupon offer. Coupon offers are typically used by restaurants, retailers and service providers to drive new revenue and are easy to track the results.
- If you advertise promotional coupons in newspapers or local print ask for the CPM rate and use that in the model. The model will tell you how much you need to spend to achieve your revenue goal. Divide how much you need to spend by the CPM and that will tell you how much circulation or local homes you will need to target to achieve your goals.
- The customer interest and redemption percentage averages are based on thousands of coupon offers we have managed for restaurant and restaurant chains. Monitor your promotion results and use percentages specific to your business.
